The Northern Lights Area has many committees that helps keep our fellowship alive and strong. Service work is vital to our recovery, because we can only keep what we have by giving it away, and by giving back to the fellowship. If you'd like to be of service, please feel free to attend any of our committee meetings.

There are many committees that need your support!

ALL NA MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ASC MEETINGS:
The Northern Lights Area Service Committee meets 8 times a year on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 2:00 - 5:00 PM as follows:
January-Duluth; March-Virginia; April-Duluth; May-Hibbing; July-International Falls; August-Duluth; October-Duluth; November-Hibbing.

Committee	Meeting Location & Times	Information
Hospitals & Institutions	Committee meets before ASC at 12:45 PM *See above for details	Carries the NA message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings. H&I meetings and presentations, except for those in longer term facilities, are intended to simply introduce those attending to some of the basics of the NA program.
Public Information	Committee meets before ASC at 12:45 PM *See above for details	Informs the public that NA exists and offers recovery from the disease of addiction. Public Information Committee helps to ensure that information about our fellowship is accurate and is available to the public.
Phone Line (Part of PI)	Northern Lights Area Information Line (218) 728-3199	Operates Local and Area Hotline. Often the first contact for NA. Areas and regions throughout NA operate various hotlines, help lines, and information lines.
Literature	Committee meets before ASC at 12:45 PM *See above for details	The foundation for our program of recovery is the Twelve Steps as described in our literature. Local literature sales are conducted at our meetings or at our area service meetings.
Outreach	Committee meets before ASC at 12:45 PM *See above for details	The committee is a point of communication, welcoming isolated groups and informing them of the support available from the Northern Lights Area of Narcotics Anonymous.
Activities	Committee meets before ASC at 12:45 PM *See above for details	This committee plans, organizes and hosts events for the addicts in the Northern Lights Area.
Vermilion	Committee meets before ASC at 11:30 PM *See above for details	This committee plans, organizes and hosts the Northern Lights Area's main function held at Camp Vermilion.

At each ASC we read The Twelve Concepts of Narcotics Anonymous
to ensure that we carry a group conscience of a loving God.
